"What we've done is take on board the criticism of our earlier DLCs, and Chaos Warriors in particular," said brand director Rob Bartholomew in a blog post. We spoke to Creative Assembly about the Chaos Warriors DLC last year. Instead, players that pre-order will be able to play a brand new race in the previous title, Total War: Warhammer, prior to the release of Warhammer 2. If you do pre-order Total War: Warhammer 2 you'll once again have access to a new playable race, but interestingly, it's not intended for that game. This time around, things will be different. This rubbed fans the wrong way: in their eyes, it was too blatant an example of content being cut from the game to make more money. Those that pre-ordered the original TW: Warhammer were able to play as the Chaos Warriors, one of the game's starting five playable races, while others could not. ORIGINAL STORY 17/7/17 2pm: Creative Assembly has detailed its pre-order bonus for Total War: Warhammer 2 and responded to the significant backlash levelled at the game's prequel last year. THe main thing about this offer, as detailed in full below, is that it doesn't add content to TW: Warhammer 2 - so those looking forward to the new game won't be disadvantaged at launch. They come with War Mammoths and Skin Wolves. Norsca are formed of barbaric tribes from the far north - so, anywhere higher up than the M25 then. The offer was originally announced yesterday, although the identity of the race remained a mystery until today. UPDATE 18/7/17 3pm: Total War: Warhammer 2 pre-order customers will get the Norsca race as an expansion for the original TW: Warhammer.
